Martin has a long performance history in theatre, music theatre, film and TV in parallel to his work as a classical musician and opera singer.
Stage Sondheim features regularly. Martin has played Mr Lindquist in A Little Night Music (West End), the title role in Sweeney Todd (Wormwood Scrubs and National Theatre), and the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods (ROH2). An acting highlight: performing multiple roles in Richard Williams’ and Joanna MacGregor’s Gospel Mystery Plays.
Television includes Doctor Who, The Les Dawson Show, Capital City
Film Titles include Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011, dir. Guy Ritchie), One Chance (2013, dir. David Frankel), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015, dir. Christopher McQuarrie). Martin also sings on countless film scores, from Star Wars to The Hobbit.
